Q: What does a consultation cost, and how does it work?

A: I offer a complimentary 20-minute consultation by phone, video or in person. We talk about your matter in general terms, I confirm whether it's within the scope of my licence, and I outline possible next steps. Legal advice and representation begin only once we both agree to go ahead and a retainer agreement is signed.

Q: What kinds of matters can you help with?

A: As a paralegal licensed by the Law Society of Ontario, I help with Small Claims Court matters, the Landlord and Tenant Board and other tribunals, non-traffic provincial offence and bylaw charges, and eligible summary conviction charges. I don't take traffic tickets. If your matter is outside what a paralegal can handle, I'll tell you and suggest speaking with a lawyer.

Q: What should I bring to a consultation?

A: Please bring any papers you've received, such as a ticket, summons, notice, claim or letter, along with any important dates. When you first contact me, a short description like "bylaw charge" or "Small Claims dispute" is enough.

Q: How does the mobile notary service work?

A: I come to your home or office anywhere in North York. Bring valid photo ID and your unsigned document. Most appointments take 10 to 30 minutes. In-office appointments are also available in Richmond Hill.

Q: What does a mobile notary visit cost?

A: In North York it's $60 + HST per seal, plus a $55 + HST travel fee. I'll confirm the total before we meet. For other GTA locations, I give a quote before booking.

Q: How can I pay?

A: I accept cash or Interac e-Transfer.

Q: What happens after I contact you?

A: I reply within one business day, and we'll set up a time that suits you.
